Proceeds from this event will go to the Spokane Chapter of the Washington Restaurant Association a non-profit membership organization - for the purpose of maintaining a healthy and progressive restaurant industry in Spokane.
Since this event began 16 years ago, we have contributed over $48,000 to the following organizations and other community causes. It is our goal to accomplish the same level of contributions for this fiscal year as we have in the past.
--- Spokane Community College's Inland Northwest Culinary Academy receives four student scholarships from the WRA annually.
--- We also help financially support area ProStart programs. ProStart is a two-year high school curriculum that prepares students for careers in the foodservice industry through academic and workplace experiences.
--- Additionally, we help support Feed Spokane, a coalition of 30 low-income meal provider kitchens that work with participating restaurants who donate their leftover prepared food for the hungry in our community.
